The Twitter account of grüntaler9 invites everyone to tweet/comment upon the topic of East & West. The performer arranges selected feeds, printed out on paper and cut to tile size onto the Black & White floor tiles of the space.

Performative (re)actions will emerge by performer and participants, online and on site, critical or speculative, mythical or manipulative. Live feeds are used primarily, recycling material is an option. Text is used primarily, pictures are an option.

After more than a quarter century, share your thoughts reflecting the state of unity.

Together we track shifts in social weather systems. Together we craft tools and devises that we don’t yet know how to use.

Launching an attempt to navigate shared thought space, this research endeavors to chart weather patterns of an ethos: devising systems, structures and methods of measurement, which inevitably shift with the weight of their contents.

Co- (lab) / 9 is a one-day group intensive, comprised of artists of various disciplines including: performance, dance, movement, sound, and visual arts. Everyone is welcome to witness and observe the lab at any time throughout the day and evening.

Working in small groups, and as an entire group, the artists will propose, conceive, and develop scores, structures, and performance material; addressing the topics of: collaboration and co-elaboration (or simultaneity).

The coal series started during an artist residency doing research in the vicinity of Frameries, Belgium. During the 19th and 20th centuries the local population depended on the extraction of mineral coal for their subsistence, while nowadays it is poorly settled since the dismantling of the mines.
